Why read to a dog? Because dogs are friendly and comfy, judgement-free (no pressure!), and they love the attention of being read to.
Kids will gain more confidence in their reading aloud skills, and enjoy the company of a new friend.
Reading to Dogs is a reading program designed to improve children's reading skills, but also a wonderful opportunity to be with a comfy pet.
Read aloud to a registered/certified therapy dog from Therapy Dogs International, Chapter 205.
Children in Grade K-4 who register will have a 20 minute session. Sessions run 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM.
Reading to Dogs will resume later in the winter.
If you would like more information, or to register for a session,
please call the library, 774-3546.
Thank you.
FYI: Just so you know--- Jake, Mr. T, Sherman and Cali, Murray and Lily are now retired. They are all well, but living the life of leisure, and enjoying their well deserved retirement.
